Charge Nurse
Charge Nurse required in Essex!
This is a hospital based position. The service provides assessment and intervention for women with learning disabilities and complex needs. The service can also support people with additional mental and physical health needs, those with complex behaviours as well as people who have been detained under the Mental Health Act.
As the successfully appointed Charge Nurse you will work alongside the Unit Manager and as directed will contribute to the effective and efficient day to day leadership and management of the service.
You will need to be RNLD, RMN or RGN qualified in order to apply for this position.
DUTIES:
- Ensure, through direct observation and supervision of others, full compliance with relevant regulatory and professional standards
- As part of the management team, achieve positive outcomes in a timely manner, in response to any requirements generated by regulatory bodies or internal quality assurance processes
- To provide clinical leadership to the delivery of a high quality service and promoting a positive culture
- Setting and maintaining standards which promote a safe, sound and supportive environment for service users
- Leadership and management of the person centered care planning process, ensuring timely assessment is completed in an inclusive way, promoting service user and family involvement
- Staff development (including continuing professional development)
- Medication management
- Administration, information and reports relating to the service are provided to relevant parties in an accurate and timely fashion
- Contribute to the effective, efficient management of the rota, ensuring they reflect the needs of the service users
EXPERIENCE:
- Nurse qualified
- 3 years' experience within the Learning Disability Services
- Appropriate experience of supervising direct staff
- Medication management experience

SALARY: Circa £37,440 based on 40 hours per week £18.00 per hour)
