Nurse Qualified Unit Manager

I am actively seeking a Nurse Qualified Unit Manager to work for a home. The home has been purpose-built to provide person-centered care including nursing dementia care, as well as respite and palliative care.
 
As the successfully appointed Unit Manager you will be responsible for leading your team, you will be in charge of all day-to-day care activity in your designated unit or floor within the home, including maintaining accurate records for each of the residents whilst consistently delivering the very highest care standards.
 
You will take responsibility for assessing the physical, mental and social needs of the residents, whilst at the same time building excellent personal relationships with both them and their families. Creating and developing strong links with local professional bodies, you will play an important role in raising the care home's profile within the community. It is likely that, from time to time, you will be expected to provide cover outside of normal hours.
 
This is a full-time position working 42 hours per week.
 
You will need to be Nurse qualified in order to apply for this position.
 
DUTIES:
 
- Provide appropriate levels of care and support to ensure that personal hygiene needs are met (washing, dressing, bathing and using the toilet)
 
- It is essential to be Health and Safety aware, to ensure the safety of our service users and colleagues
 
- Have a good understanding of the disabilities, health and social care needs, of service users and assist those who have mobility or continence needs, using appropriate aids and equipment
 
- Leading and supervising the support and nursing teams to deliver the highest standards of person centered care using clinical governance and their own personal development
 
EXPERIENCE:
 
- Registered Nurse
 
- Experience within a nursing / care home environment
 
- Passion for nursing and delivering high quality care
 
**All applicants must have a valid NMC pin**
 
SALARY: Circa £32,323 - £39,049 based on 42 hours per week (£16.16 per week) DOE
