Qualified Occupational Therapist
I am actively seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist, this is a unique opportunity to provide assessment and intervention for up to ten women with learning disabilities and complex needs. Located in Essex. You will also work within a team that can offer additional support to adults with additional mental and physical health needs.
As the Occupational Therapist you will also provide support to those who have been detained under the Mental Health act.
This is a full time position.
You will need to be HCPC registered in order to apply for this position.
DUTIES:
- To assess and plan appropriate treatment for patients referred to the Occupational Therapy
- To evaluate and seek available evidence to ensure that treatments are based on clinically effective principles
- To advise nursing care and other relevant staff on the safe implementation of care plans
- To give practical guidance to carers and families regarding patient management
- To contribute to the development and management of the team through provision and relevant information and training
- To attend care and professional meetings as required
- Participate in training and staff development opportunities
- To perform any other duties that may arise following discussion by the Multi-Disciplinary team
- To be fully aware of and comply with the rules of professional conduct as set by the Collage of Occupational Therapy
- To advise Nursing care and other relevant staff on the safe implementation of care plans
SALARY: Circa £25,000 - £30,000 DOE + additional company benefits
